This isn't directly related to iTunes, but to music in general. One thing I've always wondered was if sound cards really make a difference in music qualities?
considering you have FLAC (or WAV) files, and top notch speakers. Would going from a soundcard from 2 years ago to one from this year make any noticeable difference for listening to music (not recording)?
Do audio programs and games even take advantage of new features on soundcards?
If I'd like to improve my listening experience, would going with better speakers be the way to go? What are the bottlenecks besides the audio tracks themselves being encoded at a low quality?
