PLZ HELP - iTune 9 not working ...

Hello all

I m a new user of iphone 3gs, I bought it just 6 hours ago. I came home, I downloaded the itune 9 and I installed it in my PC (core to duo). Then I connect the iphone to a usb port but nothing happened (PC recognise the new hardware, but iTune doesn t work). I tried to run iTunes 9 and it tooks 3-4 min to load it in my screen. Also itune can not connect to apple store or any internet site. I have both firewall and antivirus turned off but nothing. Any idea ? I m siting and looking my new iphone desperately.
