Okay, I'm trying to help my brother out. He had a windows laptop running 2003 and he purchased 300 some odd songs from Itunes. He has a new computer that is running Windows vista and what we did was copied his music folder from the 2003 computer to an external hard drive. Hooked up the external hard drive to new computer, moved that folder to the desk top there. opened up Itunes, added those songs to his new Itunes library. Go to play those songs and says must authorize computer. Put in pass word etc...looks like its playing but no sound but can play and hear songs that we purchased on the new computer. It is only the ones we are transferring from the old computer that we have to authorize and the sound isnt there.
