I recieved bootleg videos. How do I handle this?

I bought a boxset of 26 Baby Einstein Dvd's and they are obviously bootlegs. I was not fully aware at the time of all the fake dvds going around Ebay until my husband pointed out that I might have bought some myself. Half of them wont even play. I am not sure how to go about handling this. Do I contact the seller first for a refund? Should I have to pay for shipping? Or should I go straight to ebay and report him for selling bootlegs? I would like my money back but I don't think sending the item back would be a good idea cause he will only resell it again. He sells a bunch of these and has 100% feedback, which I find pretty odd. I am not planning on giving him any feedback yet until this is settled. I'm sure he will not admit they are bootlegs.|||If it were anything else, I'd say contact the seller first. With pirating however, personally I think they should be reported.|||Report them to Paypal as Significantly Not As Described and make it clear they are counterfeit. Paypal will tell you what to do. If they say to return them, then you must return them.|||Follow the rules here. File SNAD, explain what you think then return the DVD's if Paypal tells you to, otherwise you won't get your money back.Need a website fast?|||Your auction listing shows this was covered under the new Ebay Buyer Protection . Look here Link File the SNAD = significanty not as described with Ebay now. Follow the procedures here Link The seller will be alerted to the dispute and either offer a full refund upon return or not. Ebay makes the decision , not the seller. You need to follow the procedures outlined in the above link. You will likely be instructed by Ebay to return the item to the seller. Make certain you return (if instructed by Ebay) with USPS Delivery Confirmation, so you can prove the return to Ebay. All communication with the seller should be via the dispute resolution console. DO not close the dispute, until you have your full refund in hand (item price and the original S&H). The return cost of shipping is on your dime. Once the dispute/claim is finalized, then you can leave appropriate feedback. * The seller used a "stock" photo image. This will make is impossible , for the seller to dispute the claim of a bootleg/counterfeit.|||The new Ebay resolution still has some glitches, I would file with PayPal. Contact the production company of the real DVD set, in this case Disney. You can send them scans or pics of the set and they can give you written proof that the DVDs are fake. It will help in a claim with PayPal and you might not have to return the items to the seller.|||"The new Ebay resolution still has some glitches, I would file with PayPal. " I agree, but I thought if the actual auction shows the Ebay Protection logo, will the system still let you file with Paypal?|||Do NOT file the SNAD as a counterfiet item. They will make YOU go through the trouble and expernse of proving it. File it as Item not described, DVDs do not work, or something to that effect. And do not wait to leave negative feedback. It could take weeks to settle the dispute, and during that time unsuspecting buyers are continuing to purchase from this scammer.|||They will make YOU go through the trouble and expernse of proving it. From my experience with Disney, it is very little trouble and no expense. It saved me return shipping since I didn't have to return the bootlegs to the seller. I simply stuck them in my shredder. If the OP files without the counterfeit info, a return will be required with the OP paying the return shipping.|||I agree, but I thought if the actual auction shows the Ebay Protection logo, will the system still let you file with Paypal? Yes. It hasn't gone to Ebay resolutions only, yet.|||If the OP files without the counterfeit info, a return will be required with the OP paying the return shipping. If the seller used a stock photo, the OP would have to photograph the items herself, find the right department at Disney to submit them to, and wait for a response. Who knows how long it will take to get the kind of proof that will satisfy Paypal. A bootleg seller with 100% FB probably keeps it by quickly refunding complaining buyers. I bought bootlegs on ebay once. Got a full refund within hours and wasn't asked to return them. That was back in the VHS days so I used them as blank tapes and still left a neg.|||I would file with PayPal!|||If the seller used a stock photo, the OP would have to photograph the items herself I could understand if the OP doesn't have a camera or a scanner. If either are accessible, that's very easy to do. Who knows how long it will take to get the kind of proof that will satisfy Paypal. In my experience, a week or less.|||In my experience, a week or less. Still the OP's choice, since it could be much longer.|||contact the seller...they will most likely refund without return. FYI, chances are, these DVDs will play on a newer DVD player or computer... Curious: are these actually available on legitimate DVDs? If so, that is pretty lame. However, if they are not available anywhere else, this might explain the seller's decent feedback score. I have to laugh every time someone claims they destroyed bootlegs they received and were able to keep after a refund...i find that hard to believe. I'm sure people who claim this NEVER even watch the movie or program either...uh, yeah....right.
