Want to upgrade shipping; seller sort of unresponsive
The short story is that on Sunday I won an auction from a seller with 100% pos feedback. When I went to immediately paypal, I saw that the only shipping option was Parcel Post. I really, really want the item before 12-15 business days. So I immediately emailed the seller through eBay and asked if they could pretty please give me a quote for Priority shipping and I'd happily pay the higher amount. Monday I didn't get any response. Monday evening I emailed (through the eBay system) again, saying, "I don't know if my other email went through, but I'd like to pay for Priority shipping if at all possible, please tell me the price to upgrade.." etc. Tuesday (today) afternoon the seller sent me 2 invoices. Both with a quote for parcel post and neither with a personal message. (Not that I expect a major bonding moment or anything, just meaning that there's no indication that they saw my email and are only willing to send via Parcel Post.) I know it is my mistake to have initially misread the shipping option before my bid. I would very much like it if the item is sent by a faster method and I hope it is not unreasonable for me to ask, since I'm asking for a faster service through the same carrier, and not for some alternate carrier. Should I email again? I don't want to be obnoxious but on the other hand it doesn't seem they've seen my prior emails at all.|||Every day you wait and try to contact them is a day later your time-sensitive package will be delayed. Of course you know you should've read the auction and asked all this before bidding, so if you're persistent you can pull their contact info and call them. Advanced Search > Find Contact Information Oh, and if you had paid immediately, it's possible for PP to get there quicker than 12-15 day, kinda depends. No guarantees with anything.|||Well, I sent the seller another message but this time in the "Ask Seller A Question" instead of the "Please Send Me A Total" section, and he's a total sweetie and says he'll send Priority for the same price quoted for Parcel. :D|||Very cool, good seller story! To bad none of the buyers I do nice stuff like that for never come here and brag on me. Guess they know I'm too humble to tell people how good I am.|||I don't think sellers even see the notes attached to "send me a total". it is always best to send a message but also send a separate email.
