Seller didn't send me item at all, just a refund.
I am wondering if this is against Ebay policy. A seller put a GPS unit up for auction. I won it at a fair price. I paid right away. The next day the seller sent me a refund with no explination. I contacted him to asky why the refund. He said oh I sold it on another site. Nowhere in his auction did he mention that he was listing it on another site and that if I won I may not get the item. Normally it wouldn't matter, but I am upset because there were 2 of the same item and I could have bid on the other and won it at about the same price. Ticked me off a bit too because he got really snippy in his email to me.|||Hi, OP. New Seller '0' Feedback. The $50.00 plus free shipping you paid, is 1/3 of what they go for. Probably seller wasn't happy w/ price. Neg. him & get back out there, hunting. Try to buy from established sellers.|||Had the same thing happen to me this week. Seller opened an auction with a 99 cent bid, no reserve - when it didn't sell for what she wanted, she refunded my money and basically said "oops my bad, it won't happen again". Pay pay wouldn't open a claim because my money was refunded and Ebay is being wishy-washy about enforcing their policies and says to contact the seller, which I have done. I left her negative feed back, but there's nothing to stop her from relisting the item I won and paid for. No resolution from Ebay yet and I'm still pissed. Make sure you leave very negative feedback for your seller which is difficult because Ebay only gives you like 90 characters to summarize the transaction.|||Thanks I will leave neg feedback. Won't matter because they have 0 feeback, but guess it's the only thing I can do. I should have known with the 0 feeback. Oh well learned a lesson, didn't really lose anything. He did email me and say Oh I am listing another one in a day or so. My cousin has the same exact one. Yeah right!|||" I contacted him to asky why the refund. He said oh I sold it on another site. " Seller has violated the Selling Practices policy, RE: Availability Report it (top right hand side contact us) Link "Product availability When buyers bid on or purchase an item on eBay, they should feel confident that the item is available and will be delivered in a timely manner. What to do You must ensure the items you are offering are in stock for the duration of the listing and are delivered to the buyer, unless the buyer doesn't meet the terms of your listing. If you run into an inventory problem that's beyond your control, you're still responsible for letting the buyer know when the item will be available or issuing a refund for the full amount immediately. What not to do You're not allowed to: List an item that may be out of stock at the time of purchase. List an item that you're simultaneously selling outside of eBay. Offer an item that may not be what's delivered to the buyer." Next report as a NPS here (include a copy with full headers of the seller's email) Link Next, IF the seller requests you agree to cancel the transaction (so seller gets their fee back from Ebay) DECLINE the request. Sellers who do this, should not be rewared with their Final Value Fees back from Ebay. Finally, Leave the seller a well deserved NEG as follows: "Won auction Paid, seller refused to complete transaction. Buyers Beware". By reporting the seller to Ebay and leaving the neg, you are putting the seller on Ebay's radar and warning other buyers , how the seller violates policy and conducts business.|||"". Pay pay wouldn't open a claim because my money was refunded and Ebay is being wishy-washy about enforcing their policies and says to contact the seller, which I have done" WHY would Paypal entertain a claim for either SNAD or Non Delivery, if you have been refunded? Think about it! Follow the proper reporting procedures in post 4 and the seller will go on Ebay's radar. Ebay is not going to tell you the outcome. Seller continues this policy violations and their ability to seller will be impacted. The Ebay canned response you received is a result of not properly reporting as per post # 4|||Follow the LINKS provided in post # 4
