Making recent purchase info private.

Is there a way to make the items I purchase private from others? If someone goes into your feedback, they can view your recent purchases. Just curious because it makes gift buying difficult if someone knows your account name and gets nosey. Thanks!|||Nope. Even if neither you nor the seller leaves feedback it's still searchable. Bottom line, start a second ID that no one knows, just sign up as you did the first time, use a different e-mail, and you can still link it to the same Paypal account.|||Thanks James. Seems a little stupid, doesn't it? You should have the right to make your purchases private. After all, when you sell something you have the right. Not to mention that the bidders for an auction is private as well. Here's another scenario for you. If you want to purchase something and give a seller a best offer, he/she may choose to decline your offer simply because you've purchased numerous related items and you're likely to pay more. Oh well. I hope someone from eBay pays attention to these threads and makes that suggestion. Thanks again!|||I'm not sure if a seller taking BO's is really going to research your recent buys, at least not a big seller. I have nothing to hide in my buying history here, and if I do then I buy it under another ID! It's also works for me if I re-sell something, I wouldn't want buyers to seee what I paid for it. My family has no idea of my ebay ID anyway, and I don't have any friends.|||You should have the right to make your purchases private. After all, when you sell something you have the right. How do you make your sales private? Not to mention that the bidders for an auction is private as well. That's more for security than privacy, the seller can still see the bidders ID.|||hockeyguru, You could just change your password, then no one could see what you have bought.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ I did not sell you my opinion||||||Buyers can make their feedback private, At one time, when buyers could get negs, there was a reason for a seller to not sell to them without seeing the feedback. Now that all buyer have only positives, it is no longer relevant. I have sold to many buyers with private feedback. Nary a problem. If they snipe or buy fixed price, they cannot be stopped. Any seller who refuses them under the above circumstances is subject to sanctions and would be foolish to refuse the transaction.||||||Buyers can make their feedback private That still wouldn't stop a nosy person from finding what that buyer has purchased in the last 30 days.
