Seller not responding

Hi folks, I recently lost an auction for an iphone and was provided a second chance offer by the seller (from Malaysia). Seller says he will send the invoice and takes about 3 days. The invoice would not be from eBay but from PayPal because apparently someone hacked his paypal acc. linked to eBay. So I waited and eventually paid for the item through PayPal. Seller communicates through email saying he has received payment and will ship in 2 days. It's 3 days now and no reponse from seller. I may be a little apprehensive, but he's recently received negative feedback for similar items he had listed. Buyers have complained about it being a fraud. What are my options?|||Malaysia....you're kidding right????|||What are my options? Sit back and relax. Sellers are not require to notify you of the shipping. Good sellers will do, but it is not required. You are in Oman and the seller is in Malaysia. It is International shipping. Depending on the shipping method, it could take up to 30 days for the package to arrive to you. You have 45 days from the day you paid to file Item Not Received dispute with Paypal. Right, since it's been only 3 days, I would sit back and relax. If the package doesn't arrive in 3 weeks, contact the seller again. Just be sure you don't miss the 45 days filing deadline.|||Thanks for the info. I was willing to let it go for a couple of weeks until I saw the negative feedback. Just been paranoid as this seller doesn't respond unless I send 2-3 messages.|||OMG! Did you "really" check out this guy's feedback? He's received 2 negatives and the other positive feedbacks he received are from people who hadn't even received their items, yet.|||BAD advice above! This is a SCAM!!! Do not pay fot this!!! You will never see the item. The only ipods in Maylasia were sent there by naive eBay sellers who got scammed out of their money by these buyers, who are now trying to sell it back to you! The negging buyer is right! This is a FRAUD!|||You were scammed. By paying a PayPal Money Request and not an invoice linked to the auction you have no Buyer Protection Policy through PayPal. You will only be covered under Buyer Complaint Policy which is significantly less comprehensive than what they cover for eBay auctions. I hope you funded your PayPal payment with a credit card. IF you do get this iPhone from Malaysia it is going to be fake.|||Ditto BuyorSell. I hope you paid with a CC. Sounds like you got scammed.|||Thanks everyone, I've opened a dispute via PayPal, lets see if this person responds. I was quite stupid to fall for it, a little too eager. Also, do I need to do the same with eBay resolution center even though I didn't make the payment through eBay? Will they entertain my complaint?||||||Well... got home from work today... and voila... there's a reply with a scan of an airwaybill. I will be convinced when I get the item in my hands, but I'm relieved for now. Thanks for the advice though, I will definetly check on the sellers before jumping the gun.|||Every sentence in your OP screamed "scam!". Malaysia, iphone, second chance offer, hacked paypal acct., 3-day invoice... And after those FIVE warning signs you still paid them!!!??? Sorry if I offend but that's amazingly naive. People like you is why scammers thrive.|||"there's a reply with a scan of an airwaybill....but I'm relieved for now." Amazing.|||You should not be relieved. You are going to get a counterfeit piece of junk.|||Well... got home from work today... and voila... there's a reply with a scan of an airwaybill. I will be convinced when I get the item in my hands, but I'm relieved for now. You're relieved that you are going to receive a fake POS? Out of curiosity, why didn't you look at the feedback BEFORE bidding and paying.... Every sentence in your OP screamed "scam!". Malaysia, iphone, second chance offer, hacked paypal acct., 3-day invoice... And after those FIVE warning signs you still paid them!!!??? Sorry if I offend but that's amazingly naive. People like you is why scammers thrive. What James said....
